한 상대가 생명점을 얻을 때마다, 당신은

를 지불할 수 있다. 그렇게 하면 당신의 무덤에 있는 Punishing Fire를 당신의 손으로 되돌린다.

젠디카르가 있던 당시의 스탠다드에서 생명점을 채우는 카드가 꽤 있다. (Baneslayer Angel이라든가, 심지어 젠디카의 언커먼 2색대지는 아예 자기 생명점을 채운다) 특히 번덱의 단점이 상대가 생명점을 채우는 경우 난감하다는 것인데, 이 카드는 그 단점을 커버해주는 카드다. 다만 벼락이 건재했던 당시의 환경에서 1R에 2점 데미지는 좀 부족하긴 했다.

하지만 익스텐디드에서는 얘기가 달라지는데, 익스텐디드에서는 Grove of the Burnwillows와 콤보가 된다. 상대에게 생명점 1점을 일부러 주고 무덤에서 이 카드를 다시 줏어오는 형태로 안정적인 데미지 딜링을 하는 나야주덱이 몇몇 있었고, 브라이언 키블러가 2009년에 열린 PT Austin에서 그 덱으로 우승했다.

모던에서도 위와 같은 콤보가 우려돼서인지 금지를 먹었다.
