1. 개요
2017년 3월 17일 레이블 PAN에서 발매된 컴필레이션 음반. 기존 PAN 아티스트들과 신진 아티스트들의 미공개 앰비언트 트랙들을 모은 음반이다. 2017년 Los Angeles Art Book Fair를 위해 특별 아트 에디션 100장이 먼저 제작되었으며, 이후 3월 17일 PAN을 통해 피지컬 및 디지털 포맷으로 발매되었다.제목인 "Mono no aware(ものの哀れ)"는 '사물의 애수' 혹은 '사물에 대한 공감', '덧없음에 대한 감수성'으로 번역되며, 사물의 일시성과 덧없음을 인식하는 태도를 가리키는 말이다.#

피치포크는 "80분에 이르는 이 컴필레이션의 각 곡은 저마다 독자적인 정체성을 지니고 있으면서도, 함께 놓였을 때는 마치 하나의 의식이 만들어낸 작품처럼 느껴진다[2]"며 Best New Music를 부여하였다. 그 외에 Mixmag에서 9점, Tiny Mix Tapes에서 별 4개를 받는 등 다양한 매체에서 호평받았다.##
레지던트 어드바이저가 선정한 2000-25 음반 리스트에서는 9위에 랭크되었다. "2010년대 후반 전자음악 씬을 휩쓴 새로운 세대를 위한 충격적인 선언문[3]"이라고 표현하였으며, 오늘날 씬을 사로잡고 있는 수많은 트렌드를 정확히 예견하였다고 평가했다.
