1. 개요

마이 케미컬 로맨스의 유일한 컴필레이션 앨범. 본래 정규 앨범으로 작업하던 노래를, 녹음이 모두 끝난 후 발매하지 않고 있다가 정규 4집이 발표된 후 2곡씩 다섯 묶음으로 나누어 발매하였다.

녹음 시기 상 이전 앨범인 정규 3집과 이후 앨범인 정규 4집 사이에 위치하는데, 그래서인지 두 앨범 사이의 과도기적 성격을 띠는 곡들을 엿볼 수 있다.

2. 특징

원래 정규 4집으로 제작될 예정이였지만, 밴드가 '이건 우리가 가려던 방향이 아니다' 라며 프로젝트를 통째로 엎었다. 이후 2012년 10월을 시작으로 No.1부터 No.5까지 한 달에 한 번씩 2곡을 묶어[1] 공개하였으며 컴필레이션 앨범은 2013년 2월 5일에 공식 발매되었다.

제목이 무기인 만큼 각 넘버 앨범커버가 무기들로 이루어져 있는데, 1번부터 순서대로 베레타 92, 보위 나이프, UZI 기관단총, 도끼, 수류탄이 그려져있다.

이 앨범에서 말하는 무기는 실제 무기가 아니라 '음악, 말, 감정, 분노 등이 우리가 쓰는 무기다' 라는 뜻으로 해석된다.
